About the role

Greenacres is looking for Disability Support Workers who share our core values of Fairness, Integrity Respect and Empathy, to work within our Community Life and Leisure program.

We want people who have a genuine desire to support people with disability to live the life that they imagine. You would be providing opportunities for our participants to experience life and achieve goals by through learning new skills and participating in social and recreational activities.

As a member of the Greenacres team, you will be working with experienced, caring, enthusiastic and creative people who are committed to providing excellent service to the participants we support and their families.

These casual positions will be based in the Shoalhaven and will involve working across various sites and programs, including in Greenacres centres and out in the community.

Skills and experience

Required Skills:

1. Enthusiastic, with a passion for supporting people with disability to create their own positive future

2. Commitment to be flexible and responsive to the individual needs and goals of our participants

3. Reliability and accountability while working within a dedicated, high performing team

Desirable Skills:

1. Personal or professional experience supporting people with disability

2. Certificate III in Individual Support or related qualification (or) working towards obtaining qualification in the next 12 months

Probity Requirements:

1. A current National Criminal Clearance Check

2. Drivers License

3. First Aid Certificate

4. NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You'

5. The Right to Work in Australia
